Call for Papers: U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development


The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has issued a call for papers for their Cityscape Symposium on Pro-Housing State and Local Reforms. HUD seeks original research to inform policymakers and practitioners working to design or implement effective pro-housing reforms.

HUD is particularly interested in research that addresses the following topics: Policies that broadly enable more by-right housing construction,
creating a more streamlined and predictable development process, curtailing policies that increase construction costs, mitigating financial disincentives to housing construction, and state-level policies that mandate or incentivize local governments to reduce regulatory barriers.

Call for Proposals: YIMBYtown 2026


YIMBYtown 2026 seeks session proposals for their conference in Raleigh, NC to be held November 17th, 18th, and 19th. The conference will be focused around questions of coalition building, ensuring equitable outcomes in housing development, reinforcement of housing abundance and reducing barriers to build homes while ensuring community trust. Proposals should be either panels, Flash Talks, and Workshops. Submissions are welcome across a broad spectrum of community leaders and elected officials, to real estate developers and researchers.
